Mr Posner (MBBS, BSc, FRCOphth) is a consultant ophthalmologist and ophthalmic surgeon practicing at Queens Hospital, Romford and Moorfields Eye Hospital.
His practice focuses on the management of a wide variety of both adult and paediatric ocular conditions. He is especially adept at the examination and management of patients with learning difficulties including dyslexia and autism.
His paediatric practice encompasses the treatment of childhood squint, amblyopia (lazy eye) and refractive error (the need for glasses) but also a wide variety of developmental and congenital conditions.

His adult practice includes the surgical management of cataract and lens replacement as well as adult squint surgery.
He commonly manages patients with neuro-visual disorders, such as those with optic neuritis, brain tumours and stroke, as well as common conditions such as glaucoma, uveitis and macular degeneration.
Mr Posner’s experience as consultant in one of Europe’s busiest eye emergency units at Moorfields ensures that he is consistently up-to-date with latest in ophthalmic practice.
He is a surgical trainer and regional undergraduate education lead for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, taking an active role in the clinical and surgical education of regional trainees.
His research interests include the management of myopia (short-sightedness) in children, childhood eye tumours and the management of ocular conditions in sub-Saharan Africa.
