First baby born in UK to woman with transplanted womb

It was recently announced that a healthy baby girl was born in February 2024, following the UK's first ever womb transplant in 2o23. Chelsea Surgical Partners Founding Consultant Mr. Srdjan Saso played a key role in the 2023 operation.
The Surgical team told the BBC that they have carried out a further three womb transplants since the success of the initial procedure and all at CSP congratulate Mr. Saso on his involvement with this important and pioneering work.
